Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Excelente libro, sencillo, científico, útil.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - This is one of the best books I have read!
This books explain in a simple method all the functions of the mind and all the power you have using your subconciuos mind. Your life will chage a lot if you read this book.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Crecimiento Personal

Evaluación: 1 out of 5 stars - Hiding religion behind a title suggesting science
This is one of the worst examples of flagrant miss-use of scientific langugage. Only because I believed the scientific impression of the title did I buy the book in Spanish and English in order to be a tool for improving my spanish. Even if that is about $50 wasted, I WILL NOT waste any time on ANY of it. I want to enjoy the information that I read when I improve my spanish, not read nonsense and prattle. I will improve my spanish by HONEST and interesting books. They say that religious people in general can be trusted more than non religious people. Well that is absolutely NOT the case. Here is a case of religious people TRYING EVERYTHING to take you in, and they have NO IDEA that their dishonesty is as clear as the sun on a clear day. Dishonesty is LYING and the xth commandment is supposed to tell them "thou shalt not lie"; "thou shalt not bear false witness". Pretending Science while sprouting Religion is lying, is dishonesty, is bearing false witness.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - The kid who only hit homers...Awesome books
This was a preselected book by my grandson who loves
to read. I am glad I was able to order it on Amazon
and that they make it available through their great
program for those who love to read.

Evaluación: 3 out of 5 stars - Boring
This book was on my son's summer reading list. I thought it would interest him since he enjoys baseball, but he could not get through it. I finally read it to him, and honestly it was painful for me to read as well. It was a cute story, however.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - A Good Book For A Kid
The main character in the book reminds me of my friend who goes to my school and is on my team. He did not like baseball at first, but after 2 years of playing is now one of the best players on our team. I liked this book because it reminds me of my life. Also, the book is great because it is a story that can happen to anyone.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - The book that kept me awake!!!
I thought this was a great book because when I had to go to bed, I was still reading an hour later! I could not put it down. I would recommend "The Kid Who Only Hit Homers" because if you're into baseball and suspense, this is the book for you.

Babe Ruth practices with Sylvester every day. He teaches him how to hit and how to catch. Sylvester joins the team. Every game he hits a homerun. The moral of the story is practice makes perfect.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Froggy Plays Soccer
Do you like soccer? Then come to see a soccer game with Froggy. Froggy Plays Soccer is a book about Froggy playing soccer. First, Froggy gets dressed for his big soccer game. Then Froggy's father takes him to the game. Froggy starts picking his nose. Suddenly the ball bounces off Froggy's chest. Find out what happens next.

I like many parts in this book. One part I like is pretty disgusting. That part is when Froggy picks his nose. I like this nasty part. Do you like this disgusting part?

This book is very interesting. It may even be interesting to babies. You should get this book. If you want to get this book, go to the Scholastic Book Club. I recommend that you read this book.

Review Written By: Jelani D, Age 7.5, Brooklyn, NY

Evaluación: 4 out of 5 stars - Another Froggy Adventure
As a fairly new reader of Jonathan London's stories about Froggy I really enjoyed this one. The really neat combination of amphibian and human characterisities makes Froggy a favorite with students. In this one Froggy is on a soccer team and tries to follow the rules and inadvertally wins the game for his side, So he goes home a hero to a snack of milk and dried flies.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Adults can enjoy reading these
My six year old grandson loves these books and they don't drive me crazy reading them over and over. There are also a lot of them so I can always add to his collection. They make great companions to the more classic Frog an Toad books. (What is it about frogs and little boys?)

Evaluación: 3 out of 5 stars - Great book - lousy binding
My son loves this book, but after about 4 readings it started to fall apart and about 5 pages are now floating around somewhere in my house. Great book, just get the hardcover copy.

Evaluación: 1 out of 5 stars - Book falls apart
This is my grandson's favorite Froggy story. However, the quality of the paper back book is abysmal. Both copies fell apart within 24 hours, with the middle pages detaching almost at once. Children's books must be durable and these are not. Don't waste your money.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Five Star Biography of a Five Star Man
I was never able to watch Roberto Clemente play, I'm far too young, but I have been hearing stories and anecdotes of his ability and dedication on and off of the field for my entire life. Not only was Roberto one of the best right fielders to play the game, but he was a humanitarian and a humble man - and based on how the average athlete acts these days, it can be hard to believe that someone like Clemente ever really lived.

This book is a story of baseball and the biography of a tremendous man. If you love baseball, then you'll love this book. If you love to read about people rising from nothing to truly make a difference in the world, then you will also love this book. Highly, highly recommended!

Evaluación: 1 out of 5 stars - CAN'T READ IT!!!
The book was delivered as expected but it was printed in Spanish...CAN'T READ IT!! I have emailed several times asking for an exchange for an English version but, as of today, have received no reply. Help!!!!!

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Poignant story of a real baseball hero
Author David Maraniss' wonderful biography of Roberto Clemente gives readers a closer glimpse of this great player that not many of his peers got to know. Along with Clemente's greatness on the playing field, Maraniss brings into focus a man who many people thought to be moody and temperamental. Perhaps he was, but Clemente was not just a baseball player but a genuine hero in his native Puerto Rico and he played with fierce pride and carried himself with dignity and was revered throughout Latin America. To be sure, Clemente had his quirks, was a hypochondriac and touchy about the racial climate in the United States. Clemente also felt unappreciated by members of the press and fans throughout National League cities. However, Clemente's greatness came from within, a burning desire to be the best player he could be and to proudly represent his people, culture and heritage. His mission to Nicaragua is what Roberto Clemente was all about, and Maraniss' work is a landmark book about a great human ... Leer Más

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - A Heroic Life
Roberto Clemente was one of the most gifted athletes to ever play major league baseball. The last hit of his career - a double - also happened to be the 3000th hit of his career. Just a few months later he would be killed in a plane crash while attempting to aid victims of a devastating earth quake in Central America; but that was the story of his life - always trying to lend a helping hand to those in need. He did these things with no fanfare; that wasn't his style.

While Clemente performed his craft in Hall of Fame fashion for the Pittsburgh Pirates, he was regarded to be one of the finest "bad ball" hitters who ever lived; he was also unfairly labeled as somewhat of a malcontent; rarely smiling and frequently voicing his opinions that were considered to be mostly "sour grapes" comments by some of the baseball establishment. In reality, Clemente was only saying what was on his mind, but honesty is not always the best public relations policy in the glib world of baseball platitudes; ... Leer Más

Evaluación: 4 out of 5 stars - The Last Hero
When David Maraniss was growing up in Madison, at about the same time as I was, no doubt Henry Aaron attracted more of his attention than Roberto Clemente. But Clemente was always there, making even greater throws from Forbes Field's right field than Aaron's from the one at County Stadium. He was a great outfielder in an age that included Aaron, Mickey Mantle, and Willie Mays. Maraniss shows us not only his athletic prowess, but his humanity and his heroism on the real world stage. Clemente did almost as much to break the barrier for Latinos to play in the major leagues as Jackie Robinson did for African-Americans; but Clemente's revolution was lower on the public radar screen. His struggle for respect and appreciation (consistently underrated in the MVP voting most of his career) was quiet but fierce. From the initial story of how he became a Pirate because the Dodgers were attempting to hide his talent deep on the minor league bench, to the final saga of his tragic death trying to help victims ... Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Baseball Sensation
On the Field with Derek Jeter

On the Field with Derek Jeter is my favorite book because it is about my favorite player dreaming to be the player he is today! The setting is mostly on the baseball field. This biography is written by Matt Christopher and he has lots of good biographies. Derek Jeter is the main character and there are lots of people that helped him make his dream come true, like his dad! My favorite part is when he is assigned to the Minor Leagues! The book starts when his mom and dad meet. The theme of the book would be Derek Jeter's comes true. The book starts very exciting even thow it is very serious.
And I think anyone who is a baseball fan or a Yankees fan will love this book!

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Best shortstop in New York history
I am a huge fan of Derek Jeter's. That's why I chose this book. I gave it five stars because Matt Christopher described every part of Derek's life accurately. I had already read Derek's autobiography and in that book I learned that his Dad made him sign contracts. In these contracts with his father, Derek had to promise to get good grades -- or else he didn't get to play in any All Star games or anything. Later, dude!

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Must read at the Plate with Derek Jeter
The book I'm reviewing is At the Plate with Derek Jeter by Matt Christopher. I think this book deserves five stars. This book is a Derek Jeter biography. A problem that occurs in this story is when he's in high school. He almost gets cut from the team. This tells you how Derek Jeter became a pro baseball player. I would recommend this book to anybody.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Great book to read with a young baseball fan
This series in general, and the Jeter book in particular, are great for a 5-10 year old sports nut. I read this with our 6 year old, a chapter a night for a couple weeks.

It's well written and moves quickly.

It makes reading fun by being about something a sports fan kid will really enjoy.

And Jeter in particular is a good story because he's such an great role model for kids -- he crosses racial divides, espouses the virtue of hard work, respect and not taking anything for granted.

Highly recommended

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - It's a Grand Slam!
It's a grand slam! Baby. If you like nod slam Yeah baseball you are going to love this book. It's called on the Field with Derek Jeter. It's about a boy who has a fantasy to become the greatest short stop for the New York Yankees. His dreams come true. This book is cool and it is for all Ages. You will like this book but baseball Fans will love this book at One point in he book I all most cried I
recommend this book to you because I am a big baseball fan.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Crossword Puzzles in Spanish.
This crossword puzzle makes you think because many of the hints are difficult.
So if you wanted an easy one this is not for you.
And YES it is in Espanol. Now buy it and start having fun!!!!

Evaluación: 3 out of 5 stars - More Advanced Than I Am!
This book requires that the puzzle user know more Spanish than I do. In the case of the first puzzle:Aeronáutica, I know very little about the subject matter. So, I had to look up words in the clue in order to have a try at the answer. I would have liked to know how advanced in the language that the user must be in order to solve the puzzles. I suspect that if I am persistent, I will learn a lot of words and concepts that I don't know now!

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - fast ship.
this crossword puzzle book arrived quickly. My father-in-law enjoys it. This is the only crossword puzzle book I found in SPanish that is not for beginners.

Evaluación: 2 out of 5 stars - these are hard puzzles
I was disappointed in this book because, although the picture on the cover looked more crossword style, the puzzles were all crucigram style. The questions were very hard and several were related to Mexico, which I know little about.

A must have for all the fans of this type of books!!! Easy Reading!!!El libro de los ESPIRITUS (2a edicion) (Spanish Edition)

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Frank
Excellent book, which deals with the spiritual element of human life and presents a unique description of not only the concept of "life after death", but the concept of the "spiritual experience" as humans, in a non-controversial and non-denomination manner. The beauty of Allan Kardec's views and writing style as demonstrated in his books, is that he relies on basic spiritual experiences shared by him and others and not on the personal and unique views of religious organizations or cults, which normally distort and twist spiritual philosophy/theology in order to satisfy their respective goals and for the sole benefit of their organizations. Kardec is very careful and responsible in presenting information based on personal experience and constantly reminds the reader of how complex the subject matter really is, and how it could easily be misunderstood and misused. Kardec is not trying to convince anyone using a passionate strategy to recruit followers as religions and cults do; he just transports the reader ... Leer Más

This is not only a must read for all soccer lovers, but all literature lovers. If you don't know spanish check out the English translation.

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - Fútbol: juego, pasión, arte
¡Disfrutad!

Evaluación: 5 out of 5 stars - love for soccer - El amor al futbol (ambos idiomas)
This book tell us about the real love for soccer, it is incredible how Galeano document history of soccer from a new way to feel it. This is not a simple history of soccer, this is the history of why soccer is the most played sport. Galeano defenitly loves soccer as a graceful and inspiring sprot played by real artists, not as like the most of us, his is fan of soccer beyond his favorite team. Soccer is not only about scoring a goal and wining, it is realy important how you play it.
Full of descriptions of moments in soccer history that show us this.
